Configuration Cisco IPMA Manager Assistant Console

Configuration Cisco IPMA

You can watch the demo video here.

Cisco IPMA Manager Assistant Console integration little bit confusing. I couldn’t find full detailed any config so I decided to make one.

I used Cisco Call Manager 12 for this configuration.

1- Create Phone Service: Device > Device Setting > Phone Services

2- Create Partition and CSS

Pt_Default, Pt_Manager : Pt_Default stands for general IP Phones and Pt_Manager stands for Managers Ip Phones.

CSS_Manager has both Pt_Internal and Pt_Manager.

CSS_Default only Pt_Internal and may be some relevant partitions.

3- Create Assistant Phone :

1005 in Pt_Internal and CSS_Manager selected. Relevant Softkey Template which is Cisco Assistant with Feature Hardkeys.

I added Intercom number with same pattern beginning with *.

  • Also IPMA services has to be Subscribed.

Intercom Line Properties :

4Create Managers Phone : 1011 in PT_Manager and CSS_Default has to be selected. Softkey Template is Cisco Manager with Feature Hardkeys.

  • IPMA services has to be Subscribed.

Intercom Line Properties :

5- Create CTI Route Point : Device > CTI Route Point. 10XX in Pt_Interanl and CSS_Manager selected.

6- Manager User Configuration :

  • Create a user for Manager and associate with his Ip Phone.
  • Select Standard CTI Enabled and Standard CCM End Users Permission rights.
  • Be sure that “Allow Control of Device from CTI” box cheched.
  • Configure from Related Links select “Manager Configuration”.

7- Assistant User Configuration :

  • Create a user for Assistant and Associate with Ip Phones.
  • Select Standard CTI Enabled and Standard CCM End Users Permission rights.
  • Be sure that “Allow Control of Device from CTI” box checked.
  • Configure from Related Links select “Assistant Configuration”.

8- Configure Cisco IP Manager Assistant Services from Services Parameter Configuration.

9- Lastly, restart ”Cisco IP Manager Assistant” :
